Training Manual: “Safe Educational Environment”

This manual was developed under the pilot project “Safe Educational Environment in Times of War,” implemented by UNESCO from 2023 to 2025 in selected communities in the Odesa and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine.

The training manual is part of a comprehensive safety model, which includes physical safety, psychosocial support, staff preparedness, and intersectoral coordination. The program was piloted in 244 schools, reaching over 7,400 educators and 110 certified trainers.

These materials can be used as standalone training modules for emergency preparedness and crisis response in education, or integrated into broader safety and resilience-building programs in schools.
