UNESCO report: Measuring Meaningfulness Among Ukrainian Youth
In times of crisis, research indicates that young people and adolescents who perceive their lives as meaningful tend to exhibit stronger psychological health, greater life satisfaction, and overall emotional well-being and resilience.
To better support youth well-being, UNESCO and Voluntās launched LUMY-UA – a youth-led initiative exploring how Ukrainian students experience meaning in life. The initiative equipped young people with the tools and knowledge to carry out research at Ukrainian schools. The students led research in their schools to understand the factors that create a meaningful life among their peers.
The report outlines methodology of the research, key findings and recommendations on improving the meaningfulness of lives of young people in Ukraine.
