18 December 2025
Somnus is a manga designed as a practical tool for working with older adolescents aged 14–17. This publication aims to support teenagers in taking care of their mental health.
Through an engaging and relatable story, readers learn:
what mental health is and why it is just as important as physical health;
how to recognize stress, anxiety and their own emotions;
where and from whom they can seek support;
how self-help skills work in everyday life.
Somnus also includes interactive exercises, such as the quiz “How am I feeling today?”, as well as short practical tips that help reduce tension, restore balance and build daily self-care habits.
The publication was developed by UNESCO Ukraine in partnership with MIUManga, with the support of the Government of Japan.
