On World Youth Skills Day, we celebrate the contributions of young people across the globe.
As innovators, leaders and agents of change, young people are seeking to build more inclusive, resilient and sustainable communities and societies.
It is vital that they gain the skills, training and education they need and deserve.
Our world is being dramatically reshaped by digital technologies, climate change and growing economic uncertainty and inequality.
As this year’s theme reminds us, navigating these rapid changes calls for a new set of skills: from digital literacy to artificial intelligence, communication and critical thinking.
Unlocking the full potential of younger generations requires massive investment in inclusive quality education and training.
Closing the skills gap can help create decent jobs and sustainable livelihoods at scale.
On this World Youth Skills Day, let’s commit to equipping young people with the competencies our changing world requires, so they can help build a better tomorrow for all.
